My review of Mel Bosworth's winsome new novel, Freight, has been published by the fine folks at jmww, as part of their fall book review extravaganza. You can read the review here.

This is my second publication with jmww. Always a pleasure to work with them.

In other stellar news, Greg Bem, Silence & Communication co-conspirator and all-around unstoppable literary force, has been short listed for a Stranger Genius Award. I cannot think of a mind more deserving. Congrats go to you my good friend, Greg!

My review of Lydia Davis' The Cows has been published by the fine folks at jmww. You can read that here.

Also. Be sure to check out yet another stunning puzzle from Gabriel Blackwell entitled, Solve for x, where x is an integer such that x>o. Gabe's work is unbreakable - the fact that he has a mathematical dunce such as myself reading, then re-reading, his work is a feat unto itself. I read him and imagine a white, empty room where every one of his stories are written out in chalk on reversible, rolling green chalkboards.
