Notes on Everything
A bit of Edmund's monologue from A Long Day's Journey into Night by Eugene O'Neill. Act IV Part One, just as the ship starts to sink.
Wryly, sweet Edmund, wryly.
Cari Vander Yacht is an Amsterdam-based artist who hails from the strange and magical lands of the Pacific Northwest. Recently, she began sifting through her massive collection of faded flea market photos and warping the snapshots into a trippy animation series. Known as TGIMGIF (Thank God It's Monday Graphic Interchange Format), Vander Yacht's moving images reveal the humor and psychosis hidden inside the mundane and discarded. "At a certain point, one must justify their creepy acquisition of other people’s pasts,” she says. “Either you make up stories about how you’re related to the people in the pictures or you animate them." Dig it (via Flavorwire).
