Seattle's annual celebration of small press and independent literature is upon us. APRIL (Authors, Publishers, and Readers of Independent Lit) has a fine assortment of activities planned - from readings to chapbook making workshops to a small press book expo. Here's what the calendar looks like.
Pleased to say I'll be on a panel discussion this coming Saturday (3/31) at the Richard Hugo House, as part of their day long Recto Verso celebration. The discussion begins at 2pm. Featured panelists include author and UW professor David Bosworth and author and editor Jarret Middleton from Dark Coast Press, with Willie Fitzgerald as moderator. Quite an honor to share the stage with these gentlemen as we attempt to answer the deceptively simple question, "What is independent literature?"
